Event: emotional adventure @HKFYG

On May 11th, we went to the Youth Space at Heng Fa Chuen (HKFYG) and held an emotional adventure activity with a group of children. We really have to praise these kids, who are only about 4-5 years old on average! Not only did they understand, but they were also very enthusiastic!

On this day, volunteers from Collective Guts introduced basic emotional awareness to the children and shared five picture book stories:

1. Good News Bad News

2. The Whale

3. So Rude!

4. The Little Engine That Could

5. The Dot

From these five picture book stories, the children learned how to recognize emotions, express themselves, maintain empathy, communicate clearly, and be brave in trying new things.

Finally, we invited the children to express their messages or emotions through drawing. We hope the children enjoyed today’s activity and learned something about emotions, self-expression, and empathy!
