Event: Mental Health Survey

Event: Mental Health Survey

We conducted a survey during late July to early August 2024.

It’s found that >85% of the participants experienced mental distress. And most unveiled their barriers to share were due to lack of trust and fear of being judged.

Other discovery includes:

  • Views on Hong Kong’s Situation: Only about 35% of respondents agree that mental health is sufficiently prioritized in Hong Kong.
  • Need for Mental Health Education: More than 70% agree that mental health education is an effective preventive measure, and nearly 85% believe Hong Kong needs more education in this area.
  • Topics of Interest:
    • Identifying and managing stress and emotions
    • Recognizing self-worth and building confidence
    • Effective communication and conflict resolution
    • The meaning of life, the value of letting go, and crisis management
  • Most Attractive Types of Activities: Workshops and social gatherings.
