We conducted a survey during late July to early August 2024.
It’s found that >85% of the participants experienced mental distress. And most unveiled their barriers to share were due to lack of trust and fear of being judged.
Other discovery includes:
- Views on Hong Kong’s Situation: Only about 35% of respondents agree that mental health is sufficiently prioritized in Hong Kong.
- Need for Mental Health Education: More than 70% agree that mental health education is an effective preventive measure, and nearly 85% believe Hong Kong needs more education in this area.
